Tip #1:
First off if you dont know about www.crackberry.com, you suck and clearly dont love your blackberry as much as I do...either way definatly check it out. Really cool info on anything blackberry related.
Tip #2
Heres some really sweet shortcuts you can use on your blackberry bold (possibly others) that will make your life much better on a blackberry
- Holding the # button will take you to either vibrate or normal mode
- Holding the * button will lock your phone for you
- Holding down the Arrow up key with the 2 A's on it, while scrolling on the the ball will select text for you if you need to copy it
- When viewing pictures on your phone open up any image, then press N and you can scroll through all the images very quickly. Much better then waiting for them to all load
Tip #3
Here's a really good tip on how to configure your internet browser on your blackberry to view websites much better!
Open the browser, go to Options, then General Properties.
Setting Should Say:
Default browser: Internet Browser
Default Font Family: BBAlpha Sans
Default Font Size: 10
Minimum Font Size: 10
Minimum Font Style: Plain
Default View Column: (change this here and then when you are in a web page and want to see page view just hit 'z', having this set to column view makes all the difference)
Leave the next few the same, but change the following:
Prompt before:
checked Closing Browser on Escape - makes it much easier to close completely
Closing Modified pages should be checked
and then save.
In the Browser Configuration option, check Support JavaScript, but not allow JavaScript popups. The rest of the check boxes are checked.
I guarantee if you do this you will start to enjoy surfing the net on your blackberry!
